VM-BAL is capable of balancing tiny rotors with only 1 mg remaining unbalance but also rotors weighing some tons.

In the table of units the desired units and the number of decimals can be determined for the measurands.
Units of the same type can occur several times if they occur with different magnitudes. For example, the quantity "mass" is listed as mass (of the rotor) and added mass.
When a new unit is selected, VM-BAL adjusts all displayed values. If conversions lead to an unfavorable representation of the value (e.g. 1 mg = 0, 000 000 001 t), the display switches automatically to the scientific format (e.g. 1 E-9 t).
